Where we work South East
Across Kent, Medway, Surrey and Essex, SportWorks is growing quickly. From Guildford to Gillingham and Maidstone to Chelmsford, we deliver inclusive sport, education and wellbeing programmes that respond to the needs of each local community — from multi-sports for children and young people with additional needs, to educational intervention in schools, to seated exercise classes for older groups.
About location
Our South East region is led by Regional Director Glen Reed, who is responsible for the growth and development of SportWorks across Kent, Medway, Surrey and Essex. Glen and the team build long-term partnerships with schools, sports clubs, community centres, charities, youth organisations and local authorities, supporting them with funding, project design and high-quality delivery.
Many of our sessions are fully funded, meaning we can work with the communities and individuals who need support the most. We care passionately about raising both health and educational standards across the South East — so please get in touch to discuss how we could work together.

Sailability
"The Sailability program is a group of adults with different disabilities. They meet once a week to take part in our watersports activities, and also provide their time to volunteer for us. The group has been impacted by the SportWorks programme in a number of ways. For many of our users its the only form of weekly exercise, so having SportWorks increase their activeness is excellent for their health and wellbeing. The combination of sports, games and fun help the group continue to make strong bonds with each other and develop their social and life skills.”
